Empowered by our Great Divine Mother's Love, we can feel supported to go through the many ups and downs of our lives.

Durga Devī as a spiritual force and fortress, provides shelter to her children, from the challenges and sufferings in their lives, while, at the same time, purifying and propelling her children towards freedom and spiritual growth.

In this Bhakti & Chair-Yoga class, Nina Rao and Nubia will invoke the Great Mother's love in the form of Durga and Siddhi Ma. With chanting, pranayama, chair yoga-asana, mudra and storytelling, they hope you can feel embraced by warmth, care, love and grace.

Looking up towards the sky we see the Milky Way and the union of the many stars shining together, lighting a path of wonder for all. This river of light and blessings from above is an invitation to each one of us to shine and share!

The Milky Way is said to be manifested in this world as Ganga Devī, the Ganges river. Inspired by this imagery of the waters descending from heaven to benefit all of creation, each Yogini becomes a tributary of this great Devī body, bringing their individual contributions, enrichments and enchantments.

Nina Rao learned traditional chants from her grandfather in a village in south India when she was nine years old. Nina is based in Brooklyn, NY with her daughter, and chants with her friends and satsang in the New York area and beyond. In Jan 2013, Nina released her own debut double-CD, Antarayaami - Knower of All Hearts.
